John Legend Working On Holiday Album

R&B star John Legend is getting into the Christmas spirit a few months early for his first festive album.

The "All of Me" hitmaker has been busy revamping traditional songs for the holidays, and his wife, model and TV personality Chrissy Teigen, gave fans a sneak peak of what to expect in a post on her Instagram story timeline on Tuesday.

She first shared a clip of the musician grooving to the tracks while listening through headphones on vacation in Bali, Indonesia, and captioned it, "John is very excited for his Christmas album!"

"In a tropical paradise...," she added on Twitter. "John excitedly listening to his Christmas album every day all day. He’s very excited for you guys to hear!"

Teigen then uploaded a sweet video of a smiling Legend dancing to his version of "What Christmas Means to Me" as he cradled the couple's baby son Miles.

The festive tune has previously been covered by the likes of Stevie Wonder, Jessica Simpson, Train and Cee Lo Green.

Legend has yet to personally share details about the project, but he previously admitted releasing a Christmas album was on his wish list back in 2015.

"I look forward to doing a full Christmas album. That would be fun," Legend told Business Insider at the time. "When I'm with my side of the family, we sing every Christmas. We stand around the piano, we have a good time, so music is an important part of Christmas."

He also named carols like "Silent Night" and "O Holy Night," as well as Donny Hathaway's song "This Christmas," among his favorites.

Although the new material will be his first holiday album, Legend previously enjoyed festive success with Mariah Carey in 2011, when they recorded a duet version of her song "When Christmas Comes" in 2011.
